When you sign in with Google, we access your basic profile information (name, email, and profile picture) and your YouTube playlists via the YouTube Data API. We store video metadata, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries in our database to provide the service.
Your data is used to provide yt-save's functionality: monitoring your YouTube playlists, extracting video transcripts, and generating summaries, key points, and action items. Extracted app and skill ideas are also published to a public gallery (see "Public ideas & skills" below). We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising, and we never publish your transcripts, summaries, notes, or account identity.
The app and skill ideas that Tubey extracts from videos — and any build plans or SKILL.md files generated from them — are published to a public, world-readable gallery so that anyone can browse them for inspiration. These public entries are attributed only to the source YouTube video (its title, channel, and link). We never publish your account identity, and we never publish video transcripts, summaries, action items, or any personal notes — those remain private to your account.
yt-save's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your data is stored securely using Google Cloud Firestore. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
We use the following third-party services to operate yt-save:
You may revoke yt-save's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions. You can also request that we delete all data associated with your account.
